Paint

This is a detail from a massive canvas...it's just large, that I covered in layers and layers of paint. The paint was purchased very cheaply at a recycling center and came in little tubs. It was a bit like action painting. I look at it a lot and it definitely has a push pull effect. My eyes move around it sometimes seeing it with depth and sometimes looking at the surface. What I like is that it could be a seashore or landscape or not. It is just on the verge of being representational and not. I also like the cartoon palette which came about by choosing not to mix or blend the colors before pouring them on to the canvas.
